Toons of yesterday now live
in the underground. (Green Day song quotes homage FTW) But seriously people, CN Real is invading the airwaves. The network's already taken off our favorite shows. Now they're bringing in live action to a channel called CARTOON network. Many of us grew up watching Cartoon Network (it was founded the year I was born). We will NOT take to these changes quietly. And for the most part, you guys haven't. But all of you who are also against CNR haven't done anything, or can't agree on which shows are good. There are plenty of rant videos and online petitions, but let's face it, those are about as useful as a barrel of drunk monkeys (on second thought, that sounds fun  ). Nobody's figured out a way to really drive the point home to Snyder and Co.Until now. Now...it's the artists' turn. Ladies and gents, I give you the CARTOON UNDRGRND, the OFFICIAL CN REAL RESISTANCE.  Instead of intangible petitions and rants, we're making ACTUAL FULLY-ANIMATED AND SCORED ONLINE SHORTS. We're gettng animators, bands, and deviants alike to create these shorts where the CN golden age 'toons themselves fight back against the network! The first short released, 'Buttercup vs New Cartoon Network', was made to protest the rebrand (with the noods and color bar). [link] The second short is currently being animated, and the audio recorded. It is a parody of the Andrew WK CN Real MV "Hearing What I Said". It will be complete with a parody song with original lyrics. Here's a preview of the animation... [link] IF YOU WANT TO JOIN plz say so in the comments and paste the following in your signature if u want to... "Pround Member of the Cartoon UNDRGRND [link]" or paste... "Protest CN Real! [link] " Be sure to leave any links to anti-CN Real art in the comments. Also make sure y'all boycott CN Real. Don't even turn CN on on Wednesdays. Ratings mean everything to the execs. And just think about it: every good artist, and to an extent every good cartoon, needs something to protest. Termite Terrace had Eddie Selzer, and now we have CN Real! Happy animating, folks.  |
